RACINE, Wis. — Scott Goodheart, Topeka, Kan., Paul Johnson, Hamilton, Ont., Yuya Kiuchi, Lansing, Mich., and Suzanne Lowry, Lyman, S.C., were elected to the NASO Board of Directors. They replace outgoing board members Dean Blandino, Paul LaRosa, Dana Pappas and Sandra Serafini. Pappas will remain in an officer position as non-voting Secretary.
Board members are elected for a two-year term and can serve up to two terms consecutively.
“We are excited to welcome our four new board members,” said Bill Topp, NASO president. “Each of them has unique professional and officiating experiences that will benefit our Board of Directors and the entire NASO community. We are looking forward to working with them.”
In addition to the election of new members, the board voted on officer and special advisor positions. NFL referee Ron Torbert, Hanover, Md., and retired California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section commissioner Rob Wigod, Seal Beach, Calif., will serve one-year terms as NASO board chair and vice chair, respectively. Michigan High School Athletic Association executive director Mark Uyl, East Lansing, Mich., will continue to serve as Treasurer. Fox 40 International founder and CEO Ron Foxcroft, Hamilton, Ont., was re-elected to his non-voting special advisor position.
The terms will take effect immediately following the conclusion of the NASO Sports Officiating Summit in Montgomery, Ala., July 27-29, 2025.
