KHSAA Excited to Host 2017 Summit

NASO is looking forward to heading to Louisville for the 35th annual Summit on July 30-Aug. 1, 2017 at Marriott Louisville Downtown. The Kentucky High School Athletic Association (KHSAA) has been enthusiastically awaiting its opportunity to host a state day in Louisville, as well as the NASO Summit, while taking notes from other state associations in recent years.

“We are very excited about the opportunity to host the Summit in Louisville,” said Julian Tackett, KHSAA commissioner. “This will be the first time the Summit has ever come to Kentucky. It’s a great central location for all officials in the surrounding Midwest area to come and learn from the best in the business.”

The theme for the 2017 Summit is “Driven by Data: Analytics, Demographics, Sports Officials.”

The state day, which precedes the Summit, has become a staple of the event in recent years. There has been a range of 500 to 1,000 officials under one roof. The KHSAA hopes to bring in record numbers of officials. Officiate Kentucky Day will be held July 29.

Like other state associations, the KHSAA has already begun the process of creating a program for the event. For more Summit information, go to sportsofficiatingsummit.com. We look forward to seeing you in Louisville.
