NFL Officials Renew Membership

The entire NFL staff of officials recently renewed its NASO membership. Just like the men and women who officiate games at the youth, high school and college levels, the officials who don the stripes during the NFL season understand what NASO gives back to officiating.

NFL officials first joined NASO in April 2005. At that time, Bill Carollo, who now serves as NASO’s treasurer, was the NFLRA president.

“The NFL and NFLRA agree that NASO’s mission to support officials by providing education, programs and services is a valuable one,” said Carollo, a longtime NFL referee, when the group first joined. “We knew it was important for all current NFL officials to be a part of such an organization and support it.”

In addition to NFL officials, NBA referees are also members of NASO. If your group is interested in joining NFL and NBA officials as members, NASO will design a benefit program that fits the needs of your association’s members. Leaders of associations with 25 or more members interested in having their chapter or conference staff join NASO as a group should contact Ken Koester at 262-632-5448, ext. 132.
