Sport Specific Quizzes Online For Officials
(RACINE, Wis.) — The National Association of Sports Officials (NASO) today took another major step in providing members with personal benefits that will improve their officiating skills and knowledge.

The NASO/Referee Baseball, Football and Soccer 2000 Quizzes are now available free to anyone who accesses the NASO web site at www.naso.org. Site visitors simply click the "Sports Quiz" box on the home page. This will then take the viewer to a site that has icons for different sports. Click the sport you want and a quiz is immediately available to download to a printer. The quizzes are also accessible from the Referee magazine web site at www.referee.com.

The quiz program allows NASO members, as well as association leaders, to download the PDF-file directly. As a PDF-file, the document cannot be altered, thus protecting the accuracy of the quiz. Those who wish to photocopy the document and distribute it to officials as an educational service may do so without calling or writing NASO to request permission.

NASO sponsors the Referee quiz program in order to provide continuous officiating education — the key component of the association’s mission statement. The quiz covers rule situations for high school and college levels.

Additional quizzes will be available in the future according to NASO President Barry Mano. Currently the association sponsors a baseball, basketball, football and soccer quiz program. The basketball quiz will be available in November.
