NASO Summit Program Finalized

(RACINE, Wis.) — The National Association of Sports Officials (NASO) announced today its finalized program for the "Sports Officiating 2004" Summit.

The Summit is being held near Washington, D.C., at the Marriott Crystal Gateway from August 7-9. The Summit brings together officials and the leaders of officiating organizations, governing bodies and professional leagues.

The theme of the Summit is "The Officials Role in Improving Sportsmanship." What can officials do to help curb the unsportinglike behavior occurring at amateur and youth sports events?

Sportsmanship is not the only topic on the agenda. Summit attendees will have the opportunity to be part of small group discussions on topics ranging from training and evaluations to background checks. Hot issues by sport will also be discussed in sessions with leaders from baseball, football, soccer, softball and volleyball. This is an energetic and dynamic program.

NASO is ready to help you and your association come away with take charge solutions.

The full Summit program is available at www.naso.org/summit2004 or by emailing NASO Special Events Manager, Tina Sagal, at tsagal@naso.org. Please include your name, address and email address.
